If you think papier-mache is just for grade-schoolers, think again.

You can channel your inner child with papier mâché, but the end result is decor that’s all adult style and sophistication.

Papier-Mâché is shreds of papier mixed with glue or paste, that can be molded into various shapes when wet and becomes hard and suitable for painting and varnishing when dry. It’s amazing how a little moisture and glue can transform papier scraps into something truly beautiful.

There's nothing quite like some unique creatures from under the sea to liven up any living room, bathroom or bedroom. That's why we're bringing you some great ideas for how to make a papier mache fish. Ex: Angelfish, Goldfish, Brook Trout Fish, Mackerel and more.

Marilyn Kalbhenn is a self-taught multi-talented artist from River Ryan, NS. She has been working with papier mache for over 30 years. Hobbies also include painting, pencil sketches, needle felting, air-dry sculptures and designed embroidery.
