Drawing and Composition Adults (Introductory to Intermediate Level)

April 15 – May 20, 2017 (Saturdays, 6 weeks)
12:30 pm – 3:30 pm

This course is for beginners and those who have previous drawing skills but feel they want to brush up on their basics. This course will build confidence and knowledge through a variety of drawing techniques. By learning about value, composition, line variation and perspective, this class will provide you with the skills and confidence to improve your drawings.
Exercises using blind contour, observational drawing and value scales will be used to help strengthen your style. Exploring these techniques will make it easier to create a life-like drawing. This class will range in subjects from still life and landscape to a brief introduction into portraiture.

Amanda MacAulay graduated from NSCAD University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Amanda is from New Waterford and works with oil and acrylic paints as well as charcoal.
