Jewellery (Intermediate Level)
April 3 – May 29, 2017 (Mondays, 6 weeks)

With a few basic skills under your belt, you are now ready to stretch your creative imagination and learn a few new technical skills. Over the course of six weeks, Karen plans to focus on clasp making. From the basic T bar to the more challenging box clasp, you will learn the steps required to make a beautiful clasp that will accent your necklace or bracelet.You are required to supply your own metals (available through the Centre) and your imagination.
Karen Wawer has been teaching jewellery making at the Centre for the last three years and has a thirst for knowledge and a passion for learning new techniques. Once perfected, she enjoys sharing her knowledge with her friends and students. A member of the Metal Arts Guild of Nova Scotia, Karen shows her work regularly in their juried shows and is in the process of setting up her own jewelry business. (No class April 17 and May 8 & 22)
