Henna Art (Introductory Level)
Saturday, April 8, 2017
12:30 pm – 3:30 pm
This is a fun-filled learning and practice session where the student will use a henna cone applicator to learn how to hold the cone, squeeze the henna out to create a design. You will start the learning process on paper until you have grasped the ability to use the henna cone. By the end of the workshop you will have learned to paint very simple henna designs. It is the kind of art form that encourages you to let your creativity run wild. This popular art is now seen at summer festivals, carnivals, parties and weddings. You too can enjoy doing henna on yourself or friends. You do not need any drawing skills or creative ability to be in this class. Fees include practice henna cones, practice sheets and design sheets. Ages 13+
Aleena Ashfaq recently graduated from Nova Scotia Community College in 2014 in Graphic Design. Aleena is a Canadian but was born in Pakistan. She has been doing henna art for five years.
