Nicole Giacomantonio Nicole is a yarn enthusiast, NSCAD graduate and aspiring textiles conservator from Halifax, Nova Scotia. With family from Whitney Pier, Nicole spent much of her young life in Cape Breton. She is excited to be back to work and explore as a artist in residence at the Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design. Nicole is interested in reviving and adapting traditional textile processes, and plays with color, texture and scale in her work. She spends all of her free time knitting, weaving, quilting, embroidering, and has recently taken up rug hooking. Needless to say, she wishes there was more time in the day
