Two cross stitching kits which include thread, hoops, needles and patterns are included in the course fee. Students will need to bring a pair of scissors.

This Beginner’s Cross Stitch course is an introduction to the craft of cross-stitching needle point. Join us on this creative journey into the world of cross stitching, where you’ll learn the art and joy of creating beautiful pieces from start to finish! Throughout the course, you’ll become familiar with cross stitching terminology, techniques, project planning, reading cross stitch patterns, selecting the right skeins of thread, and understanding various types of threads. By the end of this course, you’ll have the skills to complete your own cross-stitch project.

Harmony Hilz is a seasoned cross-stitcher with 28 years of dedicated experience and brings a wealth of expertise to the art of needlepoint. Her journey into cross stitching began at the age of 15 when she was mentored by her brother’s wife, sparking a lifelong passion for the craft. With a commendable 20-year career as a healthcare professional, Harmony’s attention to detail and patience acquired from her healthcare background have seamlessly translated into her cross-stitching endeavors. Over the years, she has completed numerous cross-stitch projects. Harmony’s passion for cross stitching extends beyond her personal projects, as she has generously shared her knowledge with friends, guiding them in their own cross-stitching journeys. Beyond cross-stitching, Harmony has many creative abilities, from diamond painting, basic crochet, to baking. In addition to her interests, Harmony is a mother of three, actively fostering the artistic growth of her children as they embark on their own journeys.
