This eight week intermediate course will cover some more advanced skills of wheel throwing. The Centre provides all tools, equipment, glazes and firings.

Students purchase clay from the Centre. **Students must have previous throwing experience and be confident with centering and throwing a cylinder**

Alana Wilson holds her BFA from NSCAD University and her MFA in Ceramics from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Though she dabbles in many mediums, her main focus has always been on clay. Alana employs a variety of hand building techniques in her own work which has dealt with the themes of nostalgia and nomadism. Currently an artist in residence at the Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design, Alana is excited to be back in Nova Scotia and to share her clay knowledge and process.
