Date: February 10 – March 31, 2022 (Thursdays, 8 weeks)
Time: 6 pm to 9 pm
Instructor: Diane Campbell
Fee: $132 plus HST (Members) | Fee: $151.80 plus HST (Non-Members)

Learn how to weave cloth on a floor loom! First time students will learn the principles of hand-weaving on a four-harness floor loom, including how to wind a warp, dress the loom and explore basic weave structures.

Returning students may choose to design and create a weaving project of their choice. With the guidance of the instructor, you will plan your project, dress your loom and complete your weaving, giving you the chance to further explore the weave structures, patterns and techniques that interest you.

Diane Campbell has been weaving since 1990 when she began learning from mentor and friend Patricia McClelland. Diane has a great appreciation for fine craft and textiles in particular. She has tried her hand at hooked rugs, quilt making, felting and more but it is the call of the loom that continually draws her back to weaving. Diane enjoys creating a wide variety of handwovens – from household linens to tartan throws, rugs and overshot coverlets.
