Crochet (Intermediate Level)
Date: April 23 – May 14, 2024 (Tuesdays, 4 weeks)
Time: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Instructor: Brenda Theoret
Fee: $55 plus HST (Members) | Fee: $63.25 plus HST (Non-Members)

Learn the Magic Ring method of beginning a crochet project in the round to spin your crochet skills to the next level with this fun t-shirt yarn basket class. Aside from learning to make yarn from an old t-shirt or a plastic shopping bag, we will use basic crochet stitches and work them in a spiral and in closed rounds. If that isn’t enough, you’ll be learning to join yarn ends and change colours too!

Brenda Theoret was born on Prince Edward Island and spent her formative years all over Atlantic Canada, Quebec and Ontario. She taught herself to crochet from her favorite craft book when she was seven years old. Brenda has followed many creative career paths while experiencing many corners of North America.

After leaving Sydney in 1999, Brenda is back and happy to call Cape Breton home.
