Learn to Crochet (Introductory Level)
Date: April 22  – May 13, 2024 (Mondays, 4 weeks)
Time: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Instructor: Brenda Theoret
Fee: $55 plus HST (Members) | Fee: $63.25 plus HST (Non-Members)

Learning to crochet is easy with a big hook and bulky yarn! You’ll learn and practice basic crochet stitches (chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet) while creating some super useful trivets. This class is for anyone who wants to learn to crochet and for knitters who want to become more confident using a hook. Attention to pattern and chart reading will also be a focus.

Brenda Theoret was born on Prince Edward Island and spent her formative years all over Atlantic Canada, Quebec and Ontario. She taught herself to crochet from her favorite craft book when she was seven years old. Brenda has followed many creative career paths while experiencing many corners of North America.

After leaving Sydney in 1999, Brenda is back and happy to call Cape Breton home.
