Description: “ Up and down the hill with twill” is an introduction to and an exploration of 2/2 twill weave structure.

All skill levels are welcome, but students must be able to make a warp and dress a loom with minimal assistance.

Join us to begin your journey with twill or refresh your skills and theory around twill.

You will be weaving a twill gamp as well as a project ( shawl or t-towel – time dependent )

Eileen MacNeil has been weaving and teaching the craft of weaving in Cape Breton for over 30 yrs. She weaves at her home based studio- The Pick and Twill Weaving Studio- in Inverness and is the current weaving instructor at the Scotsville School of Craft.

Eileen has studied with numerous master and internationally known weavers. She was the recipient of the first “Award of Excellence” presented by the Cape Breton School of Craft and Design.

Eileens work can be seen at local shops and markets in Cape Breton. Her current interests are exploring colour and graphics.
