Materials Fee (All cross-stitching materials are provided) | Fee: $35 plus HST

Materials fee includes all cord, macrame rings and beads needed to create course projects. Students will need to bring a pair of scissors.

Learn the world of macrame in this six-week beginner course suitable for participants of all skill levels. In this course, learn essential macrame terms and techniques to create a variety of knots and apply them to your projects. Step-by-step guidance and paper patterns will be provided to help follow along. Most importantly, have fun!

Meet Dylan Parkhurst of Coastal Threads Co is a macrame artist who is a proud “Caper By Choice” since 2019. With a loving family, Dylan has cherished his life in the welcoming community of Inverness since their move. While Bethany contributes her skills to the local COOP and NSLC, Dylan has been engaged with L’Arche Cape Breton since the summer of 2020. During his leisure time, Dylan finds joy in various artistic pursuits. Dylan is an avid reader, enjoys beachcombing for unique treasures, and, above all, is deeply passionate about macrame. As a macrame craft instructor, Dylan is committed to helping individuals explore the intricacies of this beautiful art form. Through Dylan’s guidance and interactive workshops, participants will learn the art of knotting and weaving, creating exquisite macrame pieces that express their individuality.
