Paul Moore is an avid beach glass collector, wire wrapper and jewellery designer. He and his wife can often be seen walking Dominion Beach searching for special pieces of beach glass. About four years ago, on the encouragement of a friend who is a wire wrapper, he began to use the glass they collected, incorporating it into beach glass jewellery. They have been selling the jewellery under the name Sea & Sand and Moore for the past three years. Mostly self-taught, his designs have a national and international appeal and Sea & Sand and Moore has customers locally, nationally and internationally. Paul has taken introductory and intermediate jewellery making courses at the Cape Breton Center for Craft & Design. As a result, Paul’s interest in other forms of jewellery have expanded and along with wire wrapping, he has extended his interests to copper and silvery jewellery. Paul is a member of the Metal Arts Guild of NS.
