How do you translate sound through your body? In this one day online workshop, you will focus on breathing techniques, listening to soundscapes, and translating your experience onto paper from the comforts of your home! This workshop is about creating a calming space to focus and centre your thoughts and emotions through drawing. Makers of all experience levels and disciplines will find this workshop useful!
Luke is an artist of settler European descent who was raised in Calgary (Treaty 7) and now based in Halifax (Kjipuktuk). His love for landscape was first inspired by the rich and dynamic beauty of the prairies, foothills, and mountains close to his home. His practice is currently developing walking, drawing, painting, and photography as methods to build relationships with the vastly more-than-human living environment. He completed his BFA in visual arts at the University of Victoria in 2016 and his MFA at NSCAD University in 2021.
