Day 1:
Morning – Learn how to make alginate molds. We will use found objects from nature to create reliefs and cast wax into the molds. We will use natural wax (beeswax) for this process. There will also be an option to pour jewellers wax and pieces can be sent away to be cast in your material of choice after the workshop.
Afternoon – The afternoon will begin with a sandcasting demonstration (bronze). Participants can take turns afterwards building their molds for sandcasting. When waiting for their turn they can continue to work on alginate molds and waxes models. If time permits, participants can begin the process of transforming/ finishing their sandcast pieces.
