Learn assemblage techniques to create a unique pendant or brooch! Grab your box of broken jewellery or dig through our supplies and we’ll show you how to use glue, patinas and wire to turn junk into treasure. (Materials fee of $15 payable to the Instructor)
Gayle Bird is an online education instructor and course developer, writing and teaching curriculum for adult learners in various design subjects. She taught herself jewellery design and became a juried member of the Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design in 2007. Her jewellery is sold in stores across Nova Scotia.
She published her first book, Freeform Wire Art Jewellery: Techniques for designing with wire, beads & gems, in the spring of 2015, and is the instructor of the 2016 five-star class on craftsy.com Organic Wire-Wrapped Pendants. From big, bold pieces that are daringly colourful to smaller, delicate choices for a subtle brilliance, you’re sure to find the exact piece to fit your personality.
