Learn to Knit Socks (Introductory to Intermediate Level)
Date: September 25 – October 16, 2025 (Thursdays, 4 weeks)
Time: 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

We invite you to learn how to knit socks using 4 double-pointed needles (dpns). This is an excellent project, as socks are small and easily portable, and the process of turning the heel is simpler than it may appear. During the session, Alison will share various tips and tricks to enhance your sock knitting experience.

Materials required:
100 grams of sock weight yarn
1 set of 3 mm dpns
I large eyed darning needle
Scissors
Tape measure
Note pad and pencil or pen

Week One:
Introductions (share what you feel comfortable to). We will explore the basic or knitting on with four needles.  Practice yarn will be provided. Pattern will be read through, casting on and basic tips.

Week Two:
This class we will share our progress and fix any problems or mistakes so far. Then we will begin turning the heel flap and turning the heel

Week Three:
Picking up heel stitches and shaping the gusset.

Week Four:
Shaping the toe, Kitchener stitch (for grafting the toe stitches) then the weaving in of ends.
