Fourteen artists live and share ideas for four days in oTENTiks at the Chéticamp Campground, nestled in the serene Chéticamp River valley between the river and mountains. Returning home, they are tasked with creating work for a group exhibition to be held at the Centre, with the potential to tour.
The Centre is seeking proposals from enthusiastic craft instructors for youth and adult courses and workshops in Inverness County, Victoria County, Richmond Countyand the town of Port Hawkesbury for the upcoming winter term. Programming can run for a maximum of eight weeks or shorter periods.
We invite course proposals for courses in pottery, basket making, stained glass, photography, painting, moccasin making, jewelry, rug hooking and more!
Your proposal package should include:
1. DESCRIPTION of the proposed course or workshop as you would like it to appear on the course brochure (max 50 words).
Please include preferred dates, times, and duration of the course.
Maximum and minimum number of students in the class.
2. COURSE OUTLINE including brief descriptions of what is to be covered in each week’s class.
3. A current CV or resume
4. BIO to appear on the Centre for Craft’s web page (max 100 words).
5. DIGITAL IMAGES (that represent the possible projects you will be teaching)
*When working with children, the Centre requires volunteers complete a Criminal Record Check.
