Sue Lanoe

Living most of her life in Cape Breton, Sue Lanoe is a fused glass artist who has continuously sought new ways to express her creativity. From her early days experimenting with stamping designs to her current craft and confectionery business, she has always pursued learning independently. She discovered fused glasswork 25 years ago and, through her own dedication, acquired multiple kilns and specialized equipment to refine her artistry. Through years of self-directed experimentation, she has explored various techniques, always striving to innovate and improve. Today, she creates handcrafted artisan glass pieces that serve as cherished memories of Cape Breton, allowing people to take a piece of the island home. Sue’s work is available at local markets and select shops, and she is eager to share her experience and passion through Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design.
