Pressed Flower Workshop – Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design

Pressed Flower Workshop

Create something beautiful from nature in this hands-on pressed flower workshop with Jay Rawding. Participants will learn the basics of flower pressing, including how to prepare the plants for pressing and how to store them once pressed. After a short introduction and demonstration, participants will create their own layered pressed flower compositions in a handmade, maple flower press, and take home a detailed instructional guide for future projects. No experience necessary. A selection of flowers and plants will be provided, but feel free to bring any special plants from home to preserve for artistic uses.
