Eiblin Koch

Raised in Southern Ontario, Eiblin moved to Halifax to study biology and sustainability and immediately felt at home in the wind-worm landscapes of Canada’s East Coast. She began exploring a career as an artist to communicate scientific concepts with simplicity and emotion. Now living and creating in Cape Breton, Eiblin captures creatures and composes landscapes with the question what do I feel standing in this place? Who else is here with me and how do they play into that? Eiblin brings an ecologist’s curiosity about the often-overlooked life forms and how their interactions shape our world to her work. She aims to create an invitation to look closer, to pause, and consider the unseen in everyday moments.
