Leona Graham – Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design

Leona Graham

Leona moved from Indiana to Cape Breton in 1980, finished a B.A. degree, then studied and worked in graphic design. A semester studying art therapy sparked the decision to complete a B.A. in studio art at the College of Santa Fe, New Mexico. She worked in art and design there until 2010 when she returned to Cape Breton, completing a B.Ed. in adult education and teaching art and design. She currently works as a freelance graphic designer and visual artist. Her art spans detailed nature themes to surreal-like figurative dreamscapes. Leona’s art has been published in Canada and the U.S.A.
