Using Stones to Enhance your Jewellery (Intermediate to Advanced Level)

In this Fall session you will begin by settling into a review of basic cabochon bezel setting. From this base, you will move on to setting tumbled or irregular stones. Techniques include custom shaped bezels, stepped bezels & prong settings. Each of these can then be incorporated into your rings, pendants & bracelets.

Students will be required to purchase their own metals, which are available through the Centre.

Lynda Lou MacIntyre is an artist working in watercolour painting, metal smithing, silk painting and printmaking. Her work is inspired by the beauty of nature and the natural elegance of living and has been exhibited in solo and group shows. Lynda Lou has worked as an art teacher for the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board, has taught countless art workshops, has been a mentor for many students and currently teaches jewellery making at the Centre.

Advance registration for members begins August 30.

General registration for non-members begins September 12.
