In this session of Intermediate~Advanced Jewellery class, you will create silver beads using various gauges of sterling silver wire, a jig and tools for shaping your pieces.

As well, you will experiment with creating round & lentil shaped beads from sterling silver sheet & the dapping tools.

Using these creations in finished pieces will give you unique jewellery & enhanced skills.

Students will be required to purchase their own metals, available through the Centre. Comfortable clothing and closed-toe footwear is recommended for safety.

Lynda Lou MacIntyre is an artist working in watercolour painting, metal smithing, silk painting and printmaking. Her work is inspired by the beauty of nature and the natural elegance of living and has been exhibited in solo and group shows. Lynda Lou has worked as an art teacher for the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board, has taught countless art workshops, has been a mentor for many students and currently teaches jewellery making at the Centre.
