Born and raised in Sydney, Barbara had an interest in art and crafts ever since she was old enough to hold a paintbrush. She enjoys working with all mediums, each one having its own qualities.

She participated in after-school painting classes, and at age 17 became one of the late Thorn Morrows students. Then at age 40 she joined the well-known local artist Marie Moore’s art classes and was with her for over 20 years until Marie Moore retired.

Barbara brings her extensive experience and enthusiasm for art to her teaching. She enjoys teaching students of all ages and particularly thrives on seeing the enthusiasm of beginners as they discover their creativity, develop their skills, and experience the satisfaction of what they can accomplish.
