Time: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Instructor: Gord Rice

Working with clay is a fun and rewarding experience that takes practice, patience, and a willingness to experiment. Every potter has made wobbly bowls, off-center pots and lopsided mugs – it’s all part of the learning process.
In this class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing while building confidence and developing new skills. Remember, progress comes with practice, so relax, enjoy the process, and don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty!
Gord Rice has over 30 years of experience and a deep understanding of clay and ceramics. While he also enjoys folk painting and fiddle playing, his primary passion is clay and sculpture. He is particularly interested in the human figure, and his expressive style is evident in his sculptural work, especially in hands and faces.
Class fees include the use of tools, equipment, firings and glazes. Students can purchase clay from the Centre ($35/bag).
Advance registration for members begins September 1
General registration for non-members September 14
