Craft Week 2026 is a week-long celebration June 1-7, 2026, that exists to celebrate, showcase, and elevate the diverse and vibrant craft traditions of Unama’ki Cape Breton. Through a dynamic week of events, workshops, exhibitions, and community gatherings, Craft Week fosters connections between makers and learners, locally and beyond.

Coastal Candle Making Workshop with Kelp House

Join us for a relaxed, coastal-inspired candle making workshop in the heart of Louisbourg. You’re invited to slow down, get creative, and enjoy an evening by the sea (no experience needed).

Guests will be guided through the process of creating two 4oz soy candles, inspired by the scents and feeling of coastal Cape Breton. All materials are provided, just bring yourself and enjoy a cozy, hands-on experience with your community.
