Ontario artist, Shane Norrie is a well-established clay artist, and a widely exhibited painter. His paintings frequently echo the signature organic, textural aesthetic of his ceramics. Ever evolving and experimenting, often his subject matter references local surroundings and familiar landscapes, while moving into the realm of abstraction.

From the first time Shane visited Cape Breton several years ago, he was instantly inspired by the rugged natural beauty of this special part of Canada. Shane feels that it is a place that he could visit for the rest of my life, and never run out of beautiful landscapes to interpret in his work.
