Join us for the opening reception of Melt and Float by Tammy McClennan on Thursday, July 18th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Centre’s Loft.

Melt and Float is an exhibition of sculpture and installation based on Tammy’s experience of the landscapes in North and South Iceland, as well as Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Her work is an exploration of forms, materials and fabrication techniques, where she aims to preserve these experiences

Melt and Float will be on display until August 17, 2019.

Tammy McClennan is a Canadian artist and metalsmith who has exhibited in North America and Europe. Her work is an exploration of forms, materials and fabrication techniques, often with environmental themes. Melt & Float, is a collection of sculpture and installation, based on the landscapes of North and South Iceland and Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. She is currently an Artist in Residence at the Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design.
