Wind / Mountain / Sea – Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design

Wind / Mountain / Sea

Join us for the opening reception of Wind / Mountain / Sea by Amélie Jérôme on Thursday, August 29th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Centre’s Loft.

Wind / Mountain / Sea is an exhibition of visual art based on Amélie’s experience in the Cape Breton Highlands. By invoking natural phenomena through formal explorations in painting, subtle forces that make up our physical world are made more visible.

Amélie Jérôme is an abstract painter from Montreal, currently residing on Cape Breton Island. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and a Master of Fine Arts from York University. She has participated in both group exhibitions and solo exhibitions over the last several years. Amélie was the Centre’s first artist in residence in Cape Breton Highlands National Park in autumn 2017.

Wind / Mountain / Sea will be on display until September 21, 2019.
