Through the Creative Entrepreneurship Program, we facilitate workshops for members to develop their business abilities. Wholesale Support Virtual Information Session – REGISTER

During this information session, the Centres Creative Entrepreneurship Coordinator, Vicki Clough will discuss various supports for Maker Members to attend wholesale shows. The following will be covered:

- Funding for attending trade shows and Market Development events

Students will learn how to style their products for effective photography. the use of a light tent and natural lighting will also be covered. Students will need their phone and 1-2 pieces of their craft product.

Textile artist and experienced market vendor, Josie Clarke, will lead this session, offering participants a chance to ask questions and gain insight into best practices for maximum impact.
Ready, Set, Go! Preparing to Wholesale Your Product – REGISTER

Developed for the Craft Alliance’s annual wholesale trade show and wholesale related projects; Ready, Set, Go! is a full-day* workshop on Preparing to Wholesale Your Product.
The workshop is designed to assist producers of craft, giftware and apparel in preparing to market their products through wholesale trade shows. Participants attending this one-day workshop will learn about; producing for wholesale marketing, packaging, pre-marketing and promotional materials for trade shows, product design and development, pricing for wholesale, booth design, selling techniques, and other important tips to prepare you to enter the trade show market. Participants are asked to bring a sample of their product with them to the workshop.

12pm – 1pm – Lunch
1pm – 4pm – Wholesale best practices

Produced in 2020, the Digital Literacy Series is a set of instructional videos designed to introduce artists and makers to modern digital tools and strategies.
